“everyone has three lives; a public life, a private life and a secret life” - Gabriel García Márquez
The June issue of Russh magazine focuses on a lack of privacy in a world that is becoming increasingly connected, interviewing people such as Hatchie, an emerging singer song-writer whose private life is gradually becoming public.
"May we guard our secrets, honour our privacy and remember that, sometimes, it is with a closed eye that we can see farther". - Jess Blanch, Editor-in-Chief Russh Magazine
With an intimate view into her personal life, the interview captures private moments of Hatchie's everyday life. It was only last year that Hatchie found notoriety, finding a fast-following after launching her career on Triple J Unearthed, eventually winning it. She has launched her debut EP Sugar & Spice this year, where her indie-pop is influenced by the dream pop and shoe gaze music of the 80s and 90s.

Her own personal style is inspired by these eras. Styled with a Gucci puffer jacket with a retro floral print, Femme white boots add a sleek contemporary touch to Hatchie's outfit. Nodding to days past, the ensemble signifies a modern reinterpretation of previous trends, creating something entirely new and powerful that reflects Hatchie's musical process.
