We're seeing a strong bridal trend where modern newlyweds are looking for a more relaxed feel for their wedding, moving towards vintage and rustic themes on their big day. There is a certain shift towards a more 'authentic' bridal experience that uniquely represents the relationship between a couple, and this is reflected in many of the key elements on a wedding day such as the venue. More couples are opting to host their receptions at home, in the country, or in settings that are more intimate and elegantly understated.
Emma and Justin are the perfect example of a modern couple who had little concern with the convention on their big day. From the choice of their wedding venue, a Victorian farmhouse in the countryside built in the 1800s, to Emma's wedding outfit. Rather than going to a bridal boutique for her wedding dress, Emma chose an off the rack Zimmermann dress and paired with Scarlett Mary Janes handcrafted in blush pink velvet to finish off her bridal ensemble.
In days past, brides may have been willing to sacrifice comfort for style, however, today brides can easily have both on their big day without sacrificing either.
